Mexican bass singer Omar Banna begins his studies with soprano Sarahí Salgado and coach Teresa Rodríguez. Soon after he debuts as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte from Mozart in the theater L´Espérance in Geneve, Switzerland, under the support of a Scholarship from FONCA. His experience continues to develop with roles such as Simone in Gianni Schicchi, Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro, Leporello in Don Giovanni, amongst others. He studies at the moment under the guidance of Carlos Aransay and Leonardo Villeda.

Beginning his enrollment in Operatic Perfectioning Program at SIVAM (International Society for Values of Mexican Arts) interprets the role of Sparafucile in Rigoletto with Opera San Miguel, and takes on a tour around Mexico, singing Simone in Gianni Schicchi in several main theaters around the country.

In 2016 he is awarded to sing in Germany with Weimar Lyric Opera Studio the roles or Sarastro and Bartolo in the operas Die Zauberflöte, and Le nozze di Figaro, respectively; he then returns to Mexico to sing Tom in Ballo in maschera, in San Miguel de Allende, with Pro Musica San Miguel.​
